  • National training for Georgian Museums on Museum Marketing issues

    The training which was initiated and organized by ICOM Georgia took place at Georgian National Museum. Mr. Bjorn Stenvers, board member of ICOM/MPR and director of Amsterdam Museums foundation delivered training sessions for 15 specialists from various museums of Georgia (PR specialists, marketing officers, managers etc.). The training topic covered the concept, principles, key aspects of museum marketing in response to the 21st century museum challenges, creation of business culture in museums, city marketing, best practices, as well as after observational visits in Tbilisi museums there were elaborated recommendations in terms of marketing and development within the training framework. 
    The training on Museum marketing issues had significant and influential importance for participating museum specialists in terms of capacity building, skills development and experience in museum marketing, fundraising and commercial activities in museums.
